A digital inspiration catalogue for the cross-field of arts and health. The catalogue and the website were conceived in replacement of the conference “Culture as Health Promotion”, which was meant to take place in the spring of 2020, but was cancelled due to Covid-19. We have developed this site in keeping with the spirit of the original conference, aspiring to give you a sense of live-ness – of seeing and hearing authentic voices telling us how arts and culture can have an impact on health issues.
Here you will find more than 20 brand new video presentations delivered by inspiring experts within the field of arts and health. You will meet practitioners from the art museum ARoS, the Danish Lung Association, the field of music therapy, the University of Southern Denmark, open air museum Den Gamle By, the Danish Hospital Clowns and many more. You will see examples of original arts and health treatment offers for e.g. people with mental health issues, dementia, lung diseases, stress and Parkinson’s disease.
In each video, knowledgeable and engaged people present to you in vivid detail their approaches to working with arts and health and explain how they contribute to improving the health condition of various groups of citizens.
On this site, you will also meet a range of international experts in inspirational videos created by WHO and Breathe Arts Health Research, among others.
